Artist's Description

Three cows are clustered in a pasture, heads together. They appear to be gossiping. A few other cows can be seen in the background. Cows are a curious species. They get into everything, and can sometimes be quite comical. Years ago, there was a pile of burned wood in that same pasture, and one cow had the tale-tell soot smeared all over her face. She had been investigating the remains of the wood pile. Contrary to popular belief, female cattle aka cows do have horns. The small hill on the left side of the foreground is an established fire ant mound. Fire ants are so common in the South that some towns even have fire ant festivals. ..... The original of this piece is an oil painting.

About Lenora De Lude

Lenora De Lude

Explore rough, rocky landscapes and old, crumbling buildings, made of rocks, stone, stucco, and wood. There are paintings of Louisiana and the southwest states of Texas, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. You'll also find fanciful works of imagination. These are the paintings of Lenora De Lude. "When I look at the beauty and majesty of creation, I know I can never duplicate the work of the ultimate Master, God Himself. But He has put a creative spark into me, and so I create. Come and see my creations. Pick up a few prints and cards. More will be added soon, and then more after that."
