Description
I created this piece with simple crayons on heavy paper. The format is square. Different people see it in different ways. I see a television with diagonal lines. Around the TV are shapes that remind me of eyes, wrought iron, stairs, puzzle pieces, creatures, water, waves, and other things. Oh, and the television seems to be rolling around on one wheel.
.........................................................................
The piece is somewhat childlike and fanciful. The color I see first is yellow. Then I see red, then pink. Your experience may be different, as there are several colors in the piece. To create a successful abstract piece, I have found that it is best not to think too much about it. Even though I am not thinking deeply and analytically about it, I often find that whatever is uppermost in my recent thoughts comes through and manifests itself onto the canvas or paper--or wood, or other surface.
............................................................................
I wanted something bright and colorful, so after drawing and coloring the imaginary shapes, I surrounded the entire artwork in yellow. So this is a many-colored piece with a bright yellow background. I hope you enjoy it!
