Colors used in this artwork were white, blue, black, yellow, and red. The sun was shining brightly, splashing sunshine onto the subject, causing a high contrast of light and shadow. Pointillism can be exciting and tedious at the same time. I always looked forward to painting this artwork, but while painting it, I often had the urge to get up and run. I should say, "while dotting this work," instead of "while painting it." The painting slash drawing consists entirely of dots of various sizes, placed strategically to give the effect of the previously mentioned light and shadow.
