Description
On a late Louisiana evening, cows grab supper from a golden hay roll. An old barn stands in the background. Cows, hay, and barns are common sights in Louisiana. Don't let the green trees or background grass fool you. This scene shows an autumn evening with evergreens in the near distance.
.................................
Cows are a social animal, and curious. When they have satisfied themselves with hay, they will stroll off together and examine wood piles (made for bonfires), fences, new animals, and anything else that strikes their interest.
................................
The barn in the background, like so many others, is no longer standing. The old buildings are disappearing fast from our landscapes and should be immortalized in photography and paint.
