This artwork is from an original oil painting--hand painted. A smiling sun is beaming, upon the earth from a blue, warm sky. One common term for this type of art--a portrait of the sun--is old Sol. In Spanish, the sun is el sol.
...............................................
The sun is at the center of our solar system, and is a star. This fanciful sun portrait gives no hint of the overwhelming, colossal nature of the true sun. This sun portrait evokes childhood memories for me, when the sky held mystery and sparkle. Come to think of it, the sky and beyond still holds mystery, and sparkle.

Explore rough, rocky landscapes and old, crumbling buildings, made of rocks, stone, stucco, and wood. There are paintings of Louisiana and the southwest states of Texas, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. You'll also find fanciful works of imagination. These are the paintings of Lenora De Lude. "When I look at the beauty and majesty of creation, I know I can never duplicate the work of the ultimate Master, God Himself. But He has put a creative spark into me, and so I create. Come and see my creations. Pick up a few prints and cards. More will be added soon, and then more after that."
