Description
These berries were growing wild in Louisiana, behind the church. They are tastiest when black, but are more beautiful when red. These berries are eaten by birds and other creatures, including people. As children, we would spend a lot of time picking berries and putting them into a basket. We probably ate as many as we stored.

In this hand painted artwork, bright red berries and green leaves grow in a blue green environment that is almost aquatic. It was painted in a loose, impressionistic style.
