Artist's Description
Away down in Houma, Louisiana stands a beautiful Gothic mansion. On the same grounds, I was thrilled to see these ruins. The owner (very nice person) told me that a relative owned the house next to the Gothic one, and that house had burned down. There were no tours on the day we went there, but we were allowed to take some pictures.
........
There is something stirring about standing in this beautiful place--the waving of the abundant moss in the breeze, the old sugar vats, the ruins, the beautiful mansion, and I could go on and on.
....
About the artwork: I painted this piece in acrylic paint on a stretched canvas. The original is for sale--the prices is for the piece unframed.
About Lenora De Lude
Explore rough, rocky landscapes and old, crumbling buildings, made of rocks, stone, stucco, and wood. There are paintings of Louisiana and the southwest states of Texas, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. You'll also find fanciful works of imagination. These are the paintings of Lenora De Lude. "When I look at the beauty and majesty of creation, I know I can never duplicate the work of the ultimate Master, God Himself. But He has put a creative spark into me, and so I create. Come and see my creations. Pick up a few prints and cards. More will be added soon, and then more after that."
