Artist's Description
Beautiful blue and purple flowers sit in a charcoal gray vase. The surroundings are a deep yellow, probably more like gold. There is a bit of orange and ocher in there as well. These flowers are hydrangeas.
...............................
Hydrangeas will always remind me of my grandmother's front porch, and beautiful, flowered bushes that surrounded it. The entire yard boasted various flowers and fruit trees. You know the old saying--"You never know what you have until it's gone." Those days will never be back, so I live in the now, and appreciate the beauty that God has put around me.
..............................
This artwork is known as a still life. A still life is a work of art that portrays mostly inanimate objects. Usual subjects are flowers, books, sentimental knick knacks, and other things that I can't think of right now. A few hundred years ago, dead birds were common objects in still life. I don't see a lot of that anymore.

About Lenora De Lude
Explore rough, rocky landscapes and old, crumbling buildings, made of rocks, stone, stucco, and wood. There are paintings of Louisiana and the southwest states of Texas, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. You'll also find fanciful works of imagination. These are the paintings of Lenora De Lude. "When I look at the beauty and majesty of creation, I know I can never duplicate the work of the ultimate Master, God Himself. But He has put a creative spark into me, and so I create. Come and see my creations. Pick up a few prints and cards. More will be added soon, and then more after that."
