An old seeder stands against a pine tree near Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. Back in the 1930's, the family who lived there was destroyed by a tornado, leaving only the father and two or three children. Perhaps someone in that family used the seeder; I can only speculate.

About the art: This piece was painted several years ago, in oils. Although the artwork is still in good shape, it is not on what is considered archival canvas, so the original is not for sale. Various types of reproductions are available.
