This portrait of an African American Saint Nicholas was done with Inktense pencils, which become watercolor when a wet brush is applied. Colors are blue, brown, green, red, and white. The look on his face is almost neutral, but still kind. His beard curls and lays on hist chest.

He sold his possessions, and lived a life of serving the Lord. He became known for his generous and giving nature. It's beginning to sound familiar, isn't it?
