Description
These berries were growing wild in Louisiana, behind the church. They are tastiest when black, but are more beautiful when red. These berries are eaten by birds and other creatures, including people. As children, we would spend a lot of time picking berries and putting them into a basket. We probably ate as many as we stored.

In this hand painted artwork, bright red berries and green leaves grow in a blue green environment that is almost aquatic. It was painted in a loose, impressionistic style. If you choose a larger size, stand close to the art for an effect that is almost abstract. Step back, and it all comes together in a beautiful way. This artwork began life as an oil painting.

Lenora De Lude is a painter based in Louisiana. She loves old buildings made of wood or stone, rusty old vehicles and implements, and the rocks of the Southwest. Other loves are bright flowers, berries, lightning, and other elements of creation. Art is an exciting means of communication. The painter brings her thoughts, dreams, and skill into the work, and the viewer brings his thoughts, dreams, and experiences as he interprets the work for himself--or herself.
